The award will be presented at a black-tie Gala dinner at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ritzcarlton.com\/en\/hotels\/california\/santa-barbara\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Ritz Carlton Bacara<\/a>, Santa Barbara (8301 Hollister Ave.) on Monday, November 19.<\/p>\n<p>Jackman is best known for Oscar-nominated films <em>The Greatest Showman<\/em> and <em>Les Miserables<\/em>, and for starring as Wolverine in The X-Men franchise. Jackman will next be seen in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0718646\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jason Reitman<\/a>\u2019s <em>The Front Runner<\/em>, in theaters this month.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BAOYDcnVx6E\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am delighted that Hugh Jackman will receive the 13th annual Kirk Douglas Award. It&#8217;s my honor to have my name linked with his on this year&#8217;s award,\u201d states Douglas.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2006, the annual Kirk Douglas Award for Excellence in Film has been awarded to a lifelong contributor to cinema through their work in front of the camera, behind, or both.
