We recently enjoyed a terrific tasting of <a href=\"http:\/\/sbseasons.com\/2016\/06\/nick-bajal-is-new-lead-chef-at-outpost\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chef Nick Bajal<\/a>&#8216;s latest menu. Here are some of the highlights:<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_90054\" style=\"width: 490px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-90054\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-90054\" src=\"http:\/\/sbseasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/IMG_6255.jpg\" alt=\"Outpost Mussels, photo by Leslie Dinaberg.\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-90054\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Outpost Mussels, photo by Leslie Dinaberg.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>I started off the evening with fun new cocktail, <strong>Rabbit Season<\/strong>, which features carrot infused Ford&#8217;s Gin (I have to get my veggies in somehow), mellow corn bonded, honey, lemon, orange and chocolate bitters. It&#8217;s rather unusual, but trust me, it&#8217;s delicious, especially when paired with spicy dishes like\u00a0<span class=\"s1\">the <b>Classic Mussels<\/b> with lemongrass, red curry and coconut milk. Served with a mouth-watering grilled baguette, that curry sauce is so good, you&#8217;ll want to sop up every drop.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_90052\" style=\"width: 490px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-90052\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-90052\" src=\"http:\/\/sbseasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/IMG_6253.jpg\" alt=\"Outpost Fried Brussels Sprouts, photo by Leslie Dinaberg.\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-90052\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Outpost Fried Brussels Sprouts, photo by Leslie Dinaberg.<\/p><\/div>\n<p class=\"p1\">Another delectable, curry-forward dish is the\u00a0<span class=\"locu-menu-item-name\"><strong>Fried Brussels Sprouts<\/strong>, made with\u00a0<\/span>yellow curry, roasted garlic aioli and chili flakes. They&#8217;re simply fabulous. I could eat this dish every day.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_90055\" style=\"width: 490px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-90055\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-90055\" src=\"http:\/\/sbseasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/IMG_6256-e1497638238402.jpg\" alt=\"Outpost Bibimbap, photo by Leslie Dinaberg.\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-90055\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Outpost Bibimbap, photo by Leslie Dinaberg.<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"locu-menu-item\">\n<p>I would have been perfectly content ending the meal right there, but the chef insisted we try the new\u00a0<b>Chicken &amp; Pork Meatballs<\/b> with onion soubise and preserved lime giardiniera, as well as the beautifully plated\u00a0<b>Pan Seared Monkfish<\/b>, with sweet pea puree, roasted garlic, and cr\u00e8me fresh, served with roasted Maitake mushrooms and shaved raw asparagus. We also had the\u00a0<strong><span class=\"locu-menu-item-name\">Bibimbap <\/span><\/strong><span class=\"locu-menu-item-price\"><span class=\"locu-menu-item-price\">for good measure, made with pork shoulder, egg yolk, bok choy, rice, chili-braised carrots and cucumber\u2014it&#8217;s a vibrant feast of color and texture.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_90057\" style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-90057\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-90057\" src=\"http:\/\/sbseasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/IMG_6259-e1497638188692.jpg\" alt=\"Outpost Monkfish, photo by Leslie Dinaberg.\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-90057\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Outpost Monkfish, photo by Leslie Dinaberg.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>We topped it all off with the innovative\u00a0<span class=\"locu-menu-item-name\"><strong>Fried Carrot Cake<\/strong>, served with\u00a0<\/span>burnt orange sauce, white chocolate creamed cheese and McConnell\u2019s vanilla ice cream.
