The Santa Barbara International Film Festival<\/a>‘s Variety Artisans Awards celebrates those essential to the filmmaking process and who have exhibited the most exciting and innovative work of the year in their respective fields. The Tribute evening takes place on Monday, February 6, at the Lobero Theatre<\/a> and will be moderated by\u00a0Variety<\/em>\u2019s Senior Vice President\u00a0Awards Editor, Tim Gray<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Variety Artisans Award will be presented to the following 2017 Oscar nominees:<\/p>\n

Alessandro Bertolazzi<\/a> for Makeup and Hair for the Warner Brothers film Suicide Squad<\/em><\/a>, directed by David Ayer.\u00a0\u00a0This marks Bertolazzi\u2019s first Academy Award nomination.\u00a0 His previous credits include Skyfall, Biutiful<\/em>, and Babel<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Jess Gonchor<\/a>, for Production Design in the Universal Pictures film Hail,\u00a0Caesar!<\/em><\/a> directed by Joel and Ethan Coen. Gonchor\u00a0was previously\u00a0nominated for an Academy Award for his work on True Grit<\/em>, which was nominated for a total of 10 Academy Awards. Gonchor has worked with the Coen Brothers on each of their films since No Country For Old Men<\/em>.<\/p>\n
