I love it when great causes join with fun events, and Tuesday’s\u00a04th Annual Green Drinks benefit for the Community Environmental Council\u2019s (CEC’s) Santa Barbara Earth Day Festival<\/a> brings together two terrific things: Green Drinks<\/a> and\u00a0Santa Barbara Earth Day<\/a>!<\/p>\n

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Green Drinks<\/a>, you should be. Their slogan is “Meet Drink Talk Think,” which is definitely a concept \u00a0worth toasting, as well as the motto for\u00a0Green Drinks<\/a>, a fun monthly networking group that combines merriment and making the world a greener (better) place.<\/p>\n

For those of you who aren’t familiar with the Santa Barbara Earth Day Festival, well let’s just hope you’re new to town.\u00a0The 2014 festival, taking place April 26-27 at Alameda Park, will promote the power of grassroots action in protecting the environment, with specific resources around CEC<\/a>\u2019s five core issue areas: \u201cdrive less,\u201d \u201cgo solar,\u201d \u201cchoose electric,\u201d \u201cditch plastic\u201d and \u201ceat local.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Green Drinks party\u2014taking place on\u00a0Tuesday, April 1, from 6-9 p.m. at the Lobero Theatre<\/a>‘s courtyard (33 E. Canon Perdido St.)\u2014acts as a kick off to a month’s worth of Earth Day-related activities. They’ll have music by\u00a0Adam Phillips and Ray Pannell<\/a>; food and drinks from\u00a0Alma Rosa Winery<\/a>,\u00a0Ninkasi Brewing Co.<\/a>,\u00a0Isla Vista Food Coop<\/a> and\u00a0JuiceWell\/Harvest Santa Barbara<\/a>; a great raffle that includes the opportunity to win\u00a0Jack Johnson<\/a> Concert Tickets, an\u00a0<\/span>Arbor Santa Barbara<\/a> Skateboard; a\u00a0Farm to Table Earth Day Dinner <\/a>and products and services from\u00a0Klean Kanteen<\/a>,\u00a0Simply Straws<\/a>,\u00a0Divinitree Yoga<\/a>,\u00a0Santa Barbara Gift Basket<\/a> and\u00a0more!<\/p>\n
