As part of the seminar, guests will be treated to a three-course gourmet lunch in Restaurant Mir\u00f3 prepared by <a title=\"Santa Barbara\u2019s Hottest Chefs Come Together to Fight Hunger\" href=\"http:\/\/sbseasons.com\/blog\/santa-barbaras-hottest-chefs-come-together-to-fight-hunger\/\" target=\"_blank\">executive chef David Reardon<\/a> and <a title=\"Meet the Masters Dinner Series at Bacara\" href=\"http:\/\/sbseasons.com\/blog\/meet-the-masters-dinner-series-at-bacara\/\" target=\"_blank\">chef de cuisine Johan Denizot<\/a>, created specifically to pair with the wines of the 45th parallel.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_24094\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-24094\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-24094\" alt=\"Courtesy World of PInot Noir\" src=\"http:\/\/sbseasons.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/travel2-300x240.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"240\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-24094\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Courtesy World of PInot Noir<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Now that&#8217;s my kind of professional development day!<\/p>\n<p>Later that afternoon is the Friday Grand Tasting, featuring Pinot Noir from more than 100 producers, as well as a silent auction, screenings of wine-themed movies <em>Somm<\/em> and <em>Sideways<\/em> (with wine of course) and special winemaker dinners that evening.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday&#8217;s seminar spotlights The Insider Wines of the Cote d\u2019Or, where <a href=\"http:\/\/worldofpinotnoir.com\/participants\/moderators.html\" target=\"_blank\">Don Kinnan CSS, CWE<\/a> tells all about the secret wines, small producers, and boutique producers of the Cote d\u2019Or. The session also includes a detailed discussion of the mountain of Corton, location of the Cote d\u2019Or\u2019s greatest expanse of Grand Cru vineyard acreage.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Corton and Corton-Charlemagne, wines will be tasted from Marsannay, Fixin, Pernand-Vergelesses, Savigny-Les-Beaune, Monthelie, Auxey-Duresses, Chassagne-Montrachet and Santenay. A short history of viticulture and principal vineyards in each village will be presented.
