The film festival isn’t just about about movies and movie stars, the industry panels are also a fabulous treat.<\/p>\n

Movers and Shakers<\/a>\u2014the first\u00a0Santa Barbara International Film Festival<\/a>\u00a0(SBIFF) panel of the weekend,\u00a0which brings together some of today\u2019s most established producers to the\u00a0Lobero Theatre<\/a>\u00a0on Saturday, February 1 at 11 a.m.\u2014will feature\u00a0Albert Berger\u00a0<\/a>(Nebraska<\/em><\/a>),\u00a0Robbie Brenner<\/a>\u00a0(Dallas Buyers Club<\/em><\/a>),\u00a0Dana Brunetti\u00a0<\/a>(Captain Phillips<\/em><\/a>),\u00a0Dede Gardner\u00a0<\/a>(12 Years a Slave<\/em><\/a>),\u00a0Joey McFarland\u00a0<\/a>(Wolf of Wall Street<\/em>),\u00a0Charles Roven<\/a>\u00a0(American Hustle<\/a><\/em>), Gaby Tana (Philomena<\/em><\/a>) and Ron Yerxa (Nebraska<\/em>). \u00a0The moderator will be\u00a0\u00a0Los Angeles Times<\/em>\u00a0film writer John Horn.<\/p>\n

At 2 p.m. is SBIFF\u2019s\u00a0Creative Forces: Women in the Biz<\/a>\u00a0panel which spotlights creative decision-makers sharing the challenges and successes they have faced as women in the industry. Moderated by\u00a0Madelyn Hammond<\/a>, this year\u2019s panelists include:\u00a0Kristine Belson<\/a>\u00a0(producer,\u00a0The Croods<\/em><\/a>), Dede Gardner (producer,\u00a012 Years a Slave<\/em>),\u00a0Lauren MacMullen<\/a>\u00a0(director,\u00a0Get A Horse<\/em><\/a>, animated short),\u00a0Rachel Winter<\/a>\u00a0(producer,\u00a0Dallas Buyers Club<\/em>) and\u00a0Sara Woodhatch<\/a>\u00a0(producer,\u00a0Before Midnight<\/em><\/a>).<\/p>\n
