It used to be that the fun was just getting started when 1st Thursday ended\u2026but not anymore! Lobero Theatre<\/a>, The Granada<\/a> and The New Victoria Theatre <\/a>have teamed up for a terrific new production: Historic Theatre District’s 1st Thursday: After Hours from\u00a07:30\u20139:30 p.m., where you can enjoy your cocktails with culture every 1st Thursday.<\/p>\n

Premiering on Thursday, December 5, \u00a01st<\/sup>\u00a0Thursday: After Hours<\/a>\u00a0 is a fun FREE event featuring entertainment by magician\u00a0Mark Collier<\/a>, bites from\u00a0Sojourner Caf\u00e9<\/a>, and beer tasting by\u00a0Figueroa Mountain Brewery<\/a>. This first one will be on the historic (newly reopened) Lobero Esplanade in front of the Lobero Theatre,\u00a033 E. Canon Perdido St.<\/p>\n

In addition, the party also features a no-host bar and additional live entertainment.<\/p>\n

This is the first of six \u201c1st<\/sup>\u00a0Thursday After Hours\u201d celebrations with Santa Barbara\u2019s newly formed Historic Theatre District in which the Lobero Theatre, the Granada Theatre and The New Vic\u00a0are teaming up for new ways to access the best in Santa Barbara\u2019s performing arts.\u00a0After enjoying the exhibits throughout the downtown galleries and local shops, guests are invited to keep the fun going \u00a0in Santa Barbara\u2019s Historic Theatre District.<\/p>\n

Hosted at a different theater each month, the 1st Thursday After Hours will feature sips and bites from one of the Theatre District\u2019s restaurant partners and live local entertainment.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis creative partnership between the three theaters is a great example of cultural organizations coming together to increase access to the arts and expand their audiences, while engaging the community,\u201d says Ginny Brush, executive director of the Santa Barbara County Arts Commission<\/a>. \u201c1st Thursday has become an immensely popular tradition for local Santa Barbara arts and culture enthusiasts, igniting the Cultural Arts District after 5 p.m. With the addition of ‘After Hours’ at the theaters, that energy can continue!\u201d
