Having worked for decades as an entertainment-industry\u00a0visual-effects artist, Santa Rosa Valley resident Kevin\u00a0Prendiville says he has always been a maker at heart. When his\u00a0wife Jerami requested that he create a bag for her to bring to\u00a0the barn where she boards her horse, he was inspired to create a handcrafted\u00a0leather equestrian-themed tote with a removable saddlebag. It became the\u00a0first product of the couple\u2019s new brand, rebar works (rebarworks.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

\u201cSo many people said, \u2018I want one of those,\u2019 that we redesigned it and made\u00a0it even better,\u201d says Jerami. More leather goods are on the horizon, as well as\u00a0home furnishings and whatever else catches their creative spark.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe consider ourselves a luxury lifestyle brand, and we like to cater to\u00a0people who appreciate beauty, clean design, high-quality materials, and\u00a0detailed craftsmanship.,\u201d Jerami says.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re bringing a unique voice to it, too,\u201d adds Kevin. Taking inspiration
\nfrom the steel rods it\u2019s named for, the company\u2019s mission is to harness the
\nstrength and integrity of understated elegance.<\/p>\n
