A passion for exotic\u00a0textiles and a yearning\u00a0for travel\u2014fed\u00a0by her time as a\u00a0flight attendant\u00a0for American Airlines\u2014propelled\u00a0Montecito-based Tamara\u00a0Cajuste<\/a> into the world of home decor. Indian Pink Pillows<\/a>,\u00a0which Tamara and her husband,\u00a0JP Cajuste<\/a>, founded in 2007, specializes\u00a0in vibrant, one-of-a-kind\u00a0pillows and bolsters that incorporate\u00a0vintage textiles from around\u00a0the world.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think of pillows as the jewelry\u00a0of the house, and they are such a\u00a0great way to accessorize and accent\u00a0your home,\u201d said Tamara. \u201cThey tie\u00a0everything together: They can tie a rug\u00a0together with a painting or the rest of your\u00a0furniture.\u201d<\/p>\n

These decorative pillows are\u00a0also a simple way to switch up\u00a0your decor. \u201cYou can change with\u00a0the seasons with pillows\u2014do a\u00a0heavier fabric and tones in winter\u00a0and then a fresh, lighter summer\u00a0color,\u201d said Tamara, who designs\u00a0from textiles across Asia and\u00a0Africa, while JP handles sales and\u00a0operations. \u201cThere are so many different\u00a0ways to use pillows to do an\u00a0update.\u201d<\/p>\n
