Vega Coffee works with rural farmers in Central and South America
to produce the coffee it delivers to everyday heros here at home.<\/p><\/div>\n

Santa Barbara-based Vega Coffee<\/strong> (vegacoffee.com<\/a>)\u00a0is all about connecting people. Working with craft\u00a0roasteries in Nicaragua and Colombia, cofounders\u00a0Rob Terenzi<\/a>, Noushin Ketabi<\/a>, and Will DeLuca<\/a>\u00a0developed a network of seed-to-cup coffee professionals
\nfor their import business, which focused\u00a0primarily on home deliveries and college customers\u00a0until the pandemic hit.<\/p>\n

When colleges closed\u00a0due to COVID-19 safety\u00a0restrictions, the three\u00a0partners developed the Coffee\u00a0for Community Heroes\u00a0Program<\/a> to offer customers\u00a0the option to send specially
\npriced coffee care packages to\u00a0first responders, healthcare\u00a0workers, grocery store teams,
\nmail carriers, and others to\u00a0whom they wish to express\u00a0gratitude. \u201cOrders are going\u00a0to hospitals, fire departments,\u00a0nursing homes, to all of the\u00a0everyday heroes who are\u00a0keeping our communities\u00a0safe and strong,\u201d says Terenzi.<\/p>\n

Employers are even getting\u00a0in on the act by fueling their\u00a0work-from-home teams with
